About Us
The centre is a large Victorian property providing self catering accomodation for groups of up to 33. We have 8 dormitories, a common room, large kitchen, drying room and five bathrooms with hot showers. The whole property, rooms or individual beds can be booked.
The woodlands centre is an ideal base for group outdoor pursuits or activities in Snowdonia. We are located in Betws Y Coed, one of North Wales foremost tourist attractions. The area is popular for trekking, canoeing, mountain biking, orienteering and rock climbing and is also convenient for the shops and travelling to the coast approximately 20 minutes away.
The centre is run by a regisited charity called "The Barn Outdoor Pursuits Association" whose aim is to: "provide facilities enabling programmes for personal and social development of young people in the Wild Country".
We particularly welcome voluntary and LEA services, schools, Duke of Edinburgh Award, colleges and universities, uniformed organisations, those with special needs, minority groups, industrial and management training, adult rambling and outdoor activity leader training."
