About Us
Alison has lived in North Wales since 2004. Inspired by her surroundings, she began painting full-time and within two years had exhibited at a number of galleries including the Royal Cambrian Gallery.
In 2008, Alison opened her first galery in Betws Y Coed - Gateway to Snowdonia and home to Britain's first Artists' Colony. In 2016 this was joined by her second gallery in the heart of historic Chester City Centre.
Alison finds her inspiration in the dramatic light and atmosphere of the landscape and coast of North Wales and neighbouring Wirral and the Borders, in the bustle of Chester, and in the people who live and work in the countryside. Alison's oil paintings and charcoal drawings delicately capture a moment in time and are often described as calming and restful.
Both galleries are open everyday and display a selection of Alison's original work and reproduction prints. A bespoke picture framing service is offered, using pure cotton mountboards, specialist art glass, and some of the finest frame mouldings including hand finished solid oaks exclusive to Alison Bradley Gallery.
Alison's work was featured in the BBC TV documentary "Inspired by Snowdonia", and is in the collection of the National Library of Wales."
