About Us
Nila is an illustrator and creative, fluent in Welsh and born and raised near Betws-y-Coed and her shop – Lle Nila in Llanrwst – stocks items featuring her own designs along with other local crafts and gifts.
She studied Art and Design at Coleg Llandrillo in North Wales before completing a BA in Fashion Communication at Liverpool John Moores University.
During the Covid lockdowns, Nila moved back to North Wales from Liverpool – a return that felt like a sanctuary, shifting from chaos into calm, deepening her connection to the Welsh countryside, culture & language.
Her work is inspired by the landscape around her, Welsh women, and the softer, feminine aspects of life. Nila created the kind of work she would have loved to grow up with in Wales.
Celebrating Welsh identity in a modern, thoughtful, and meaningful way. Grounded in place and heritage while looking forward.
